A new case of femicide in Cuba was reported through social media. This time, a young woman was murdered and dismembered by her husband, who then threw her remains into a garbage dump.
The photograph of the Antillean woman was published by Garlovo Lvv, but her name has not been disclosed. This event has generated a wave of indignation and sadness among the inhabitants of Havana.
The image of the crime is too disturbing to be shared publicly, and out of respect for the victim and her loved ones, no photographs of the event were released.
“I received horrendous information from Old Havana, Havana, Cuba, about a young woman dismembered by her husband, who threw her in the dumpster. They don’t say anything else, but the image is terrifying, which I won’t post out of respect for the deceased and her friends and family,” wrote Garlobo Lvv.
This femicide in Cuba demonstrates the growing wave of violence and the degradation of values in society.
Cubans say a lack of psychiatric medication and rising tribalism and violence are increasingly evident problems in the country.
“Cuba is a country that is going downhill and the brakes are violence, tribalism, the lack of psychiatric medication, the total degradation of values in a society, which is becoming more evident every day. Apparently they have taken it upon themselves to throw bodies in the garbage dumps of Havana,” says the message on Facebook.
The recent cases of bodies abandoned in Havana’s garbage dumps reflect a worrying trend that must be urgently addressed, but the communist regime is not paying attention to the crimes on the island and is instead busy with its own affairs.
