Another launch in two days: The South Korean army reported tonight (Monday) that its neighbor to the north launched three ballistic missiles towards the sea. Also, the Japan Coast Guard reported this as well and stated that the three missiles flew into the waters off the east coast of North Korea.

Meanwhile, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Kim Yo Jong, said after the launches that she warned against an increased presence of US strategic assets in the region, and also noted that “Pyongyang is carefully monitoring the movement of the US and warns against the impact of increasing their presence in the region. The Pacific Ocean could become a ‘firing range’.” In addition, she said that “we are very satisfied with our technology and capabilities in regards to the ballistic missiles”.
This is another launch within two days after the Asian dictatorship launched a ballistic missile towards its eastern shores on Saturday. The US then condemned the launch of the missile and stated that “we will take all measures to ensure the security of the US and the region”. The White House also announced that the missile that was launched did not pose an immediate threat, but “raised tensions”.
The Minister of Defense of Japan responded to the launch that happened over the weekend and said that “it seems that the missile of North Korea has the ability to fly a range of about 14,000 km, and may reach the United States.” Also, the Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan also said that “North Korea may increase its ballistic activities, including nuclear tests.”
