It can be said that especially the climax scene of the film left many in awe. The song ‘Varaha Roopam’ featured in it also enhanced the show and attracted attention. In this case, the band ‘Thaikkudam Bridge’ from Kerala has said that the song ‘Varaha Roopam’ featured in the climax scene of the movie Gandhara was taken from their song ‘Navarasam’ which was released in 2017. Also, they have categorically accused that ‘this song has been composed in violation of copyright law’.

Thaikudam Bridge Band posted this on their Instagram page. It said, “We would like to inform our fans that Thaikudam Bridge has not in any way collaborated with the team of ‘Gandhara’. Our song ‘Navarasam’ and ‘Varaha Roopam’ from the film ‘Gandhara’ have inevitable similarities. This violates the copyright law of the song. According to us, the song is plagiarism. We feel that there is a difference between adapting and composing the song. We have not been given any recognition for our song. Moreover, the song is being promoted as an original work by the film crew. We are going to take legal action against the crew of ‘Gandhara’ as this song is a copy of the song ‘Navarasam’. Fans should support this.”

No response has yet been given by the crew of ‘Gandhara’ regarding this.
