Tamil cinema’s popular hero Jayam Ravi’s family is broken. On September 9, he announced the divorce by posting a statement on microblogging site X (Twitter). He said that he decided to divorce after discussing with his wife Aarti.
Ravi-Aarti have two sons in their 15-year marriage. But neither Ravi’s children nor his wife Aarti knew about the divorce announcement. Aarti made the claim in a statement on Instagram on Wednesday (September 11).
Aarti said, ‘I am shocked and saddened by the official announcement of our marriage. This announcement was made without my consent, without informing me. I know nothing about this. My two children and I were in the dark about this announcement. We have 18 years of history. I believe such important matters require respect and confidentiality.’
Netizens are commenting on Aarti after Jayam Ravi announced the separation on social media. Some are attacking him. All these have come to his attention. But Aarti does not want to comment on this. Rather, Aarti also mentioned in this statement that he wants to be more careful with his children.
