Washington besieges Tehran’s weapons and oil tankers with new sanctions

/ The US Treasury Department announced, on Thursday, the imposition of new “anti-terrorism” sanctions in the Middle East region, linked to Iran.

According to a statement translated by Agency, the Treasury imposed economic sanctions on Oceanlink Maritime DMCC and several ships working in the field of transporting and unloading crude oil.

The US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets also identified 13 vessels operated by Oceanlink Maritime DMCC as prohibited property, as the HECATE vessel operated by Oceanlink Maritime DMCC recently loaded Iranian goods worth more than $100 million via ship-to-ship transfer (STS) from another tanker. Sanctioned, DOVER, on behalf of the Iranian company Sepehr Energy Jahan Nama Pars (Sepehr Energy).
