Pink and Christina Aguilera aren’t exactly soul sisters. 22 years after the hit, Pink again shared her experiences from the shoot and stung her partner for the song “Lady Marmalade” recorded together with Mia, Missy Elliott and Lil’ Kim in 2001.

“It wasn’t a lot of fun doing it,” Pink explained to BuzzFeed UK, after ranking “Lady Marmalade” last on her list of favorite to least favorite music videos. “I’m all about fun and it was, like, a lot of commotion,” she added. “There were a few oshis…Kim and Mia were nice!”

Back in 2001, Pink described the music video – which was shot in Los Angeles and also featured Missy Elliott – as a “circus on acid” in an interview with MTV News. The new women’s version of the song was originally recorded by the band LaBelle from the 1970s and appeared on the soundtrack of “Moulin Rouge!”.

While “Lady Marmalade” remains one of the most iconic music videos of all time, it looks like Pink and Aguilera haven’t quite moved on from their seemingly years-long feud. Rumor has it that tensions flared in the recording studio as they tried to determine who would sing certain parts of the Grammy-winning song.

“[בכיר בלייבל] Ron Pierre enters. He didn’t say hello to any of us and said, ‘What’s the high part? What is the longest part? Christina is going to take that part,” Pink claimed in the 2009 VH1 special Behind the Music.

Pink recently made headlines again promoting her ninth album, Trustfall.

The album includes tracks such as “Never Gonna Not Dance Again”, “When I Get There”, “Kids in Love” and “Hate Me”, with guest appearances by The Lumineers, Chris Stapleton and First Aid Kit.
