BOLZANO. To be sure we will have to wait for the next few weeks, but it is certain that the waste disposal tariffs will be adjusted. By how much? Realistically 5-6%, but it could be even more.

Yesterday the president of Seab Kilian Bedin and the technicians illustrated the economic and financial plan for 2024 to the municipal council, explaining what the criteria are set by Arera, i.e. the National Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment, to determine the disposal tariff .

«Arera – explains Bedin – having introduced the adjustment to inflation, would allow us to increase the tariff by 9.6%, but based on the first calculations an adjustment of 5 maximum 6% should be sufficient to be able to cover 100%. expenses, as the law requires today. However, it is too early to have precise data. We must first wait for the Province, as a third party, to validate the budget.”

«As a Municipality – Mayor Renzo Caramaschi is keen to point out – we no longer have any say in the matter regarding the determination of waste disposal tariffs. Today they are the Arera decisions and they must cover 100% of the disposal costs; while in the past it was sufficient to reach 90%”. For domestic users, the waste tariff for 2023 envisaged, between the fixed quota and the variable quota, an average annual expense of 142.52 euros for a single person; which reached 188.40 in the case of two people; for a family of three people the average bill is 224.40 euros; 251.82 for four people; 301.94 for five and 370.28 for six and more.
