Al-Marsad newspaper: The family doctor, Dr. Saud Al-Shehri, revealed the best healthy way to lose weight.

Al-Shehri said, during a video clip on his Twitter page: “The best healthy way is not only to lose weight, but also benefits your body in terms of health.”

He added: “Intermittent fasting and its origin are inspired by Islamic fasting, as was said in studies at the University of Southern California.”

He continued, “This is not only your weight, your triglycerides and harmful cholesterol, which causes clots, will be reduced, God willing.”

He continued, “This intermittent fasting raises the growth hormone in your body from 2000 to 3000 percent, and it fights cancers and infections, because one of the best ways to treat the body is fasting.”

He pointed out that “Fasting has several patterns, the best form of it is 16-8, fasting 16 hours for everything except water, tea without sugar, coffee, and in the eight hours we eat anything.”

He continued: “In the 8 hours, we eat 3 meals, while cutting sugars and reducing starches to reach the desired result.”

And he added: “In the last hours of fasting, we walk from half an hour to 40 minutes, and after two or three months you will find that your clothes have become loose on you.”

He concluded his speech: “If you have chronic diseases such as diabetes, pressure, and thyroid gland, consult your doctor first about how to apply the intermittent fasting system.”
