At the beginning of this month, the Central Unit of the Central District opened an accelerated investigation, upon receiving a report about a resident of Or Yehuda who was attacked near his home while walking with his dog in the street, by a number of suspects who allegedly belong to a gang from the Jaljulia area.
The indictment states that the 5 defendants arrived about a month ago in 2 vehicles to the street where the victim was staying and blocked the road, got out of their vehicles and beat the victim and his dog. After he managed to escape, they continued to chase him to the entrance of his house, surrounding him and attacking him with severe violence, including throwing a stone at them and vigorously beating his dog’s head and legs
As the investigation progressed, the Himar detectives arrested the suspects aged 20-30 and their detention was extended from time to time.
In accordance with the findings of the investigation, the prosecution unit of the Israel Police in the Center District submitted an indictment for the attack along with a request to arrest them until the end of the proceedings.
