Hina Khan got her hair cut
Hina Khan shared the video on Instagram with a powerful note. It read, ‘You can hear my mother’s voice wailing in Kashmiri in the background as she braced herself to witness something she never dared to imagine. We all have no words for the heartbreaking feelings.’
Heart touching post for women
She further wrote, ‘To all the beautiful people out there, especially women who are fighting the same battle, I know it’s hard, I know that for most of us, our hair is the crown we never take off. But what if you are facing such a tough battle that you have to lose your hair – your pride, your crown? If you want to win, you have to make some tough decisions. And I choose to win.’
Hina Khan wrote an emotional note
The note further reads, ‘I have decided to give myself every possible chance to win this battle. I want to give up my beautiful hair before it starts falling. I did not want to endure this mental stress for several weeks. Hence, I chose to give up my crown because I realised that my real crown is my courage, my strength and my love for myself. And yes.. I have thought of using my hair to make a nice wig for this phase. The hair will grow back, the eyebrows will come back, the wounds will heal, but the soul must remain intact.’
This is how she is fighting the battle of cancer
Hina finally wrote, ‘I am recording my story, my journey, to ensure that my efforts to embrace myself reach everyone. If my story can make even one day of this painful experience better for someone, then it is worth it.’
Hina has been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.
