An ugly and violent incident took place last night (Thursday) in the capital and at the end of the Jerusalem derby as part of the completion game in the Toto Cup, when a Hapoel Jerusalem fan was attacked by fans of the city rival outside Teddy Stadium while he was on his way home and waiting at the bus stop.

Fan D told ONE his version: “After the game I waited at a bus stop. There were a few dozen Beitar fans who were harassing the Hapoel fans here and there, but we did not respond back. Downstairs I saw some children spitting on Hapoel fan children so I went down to the area so that the children would feel that there is someone mature there and at least feel a little safer. For their part, Beitar fans continued to curse and spit and a policeman who arrived at the scene stood next to us.”

“They continued to harass and curse from a little further away. After a few minutes the bus arrived and the guy who got on before got a push and didn’t return it. I was followed by a push during the ascent and a second later a pull back. There I already had to defend myself and started to pay back. Luckily there was a guy there who managed to separate me and the policeman who returned to the scene and put me on the bus. For this game my little brother came with me and luckily he got on the bus before me and went to his parents and was not present in this mess. I don’t want to imagine him dealing with this mess.’

By the way, the video of the attack was circulated on social media, where several young Beitar fans are seen beating the fan while he is sitting alone at the bus stop. The police will investigate the issue only after the fan files a complaint with the police, and that until next Sunday.
