Two young men were recorded on security cameras setting fire to a business in California. The ignition went wrong and they set themselves on fire. The business owner says the city authorities should do more “in keeping the community safe”

A video posted on social media in California, USA shows two suspects in California business arson accidentally setting themselves on fire during an attempt to set fire to a business, when one of them is heard screaming in exasperation while trying to flee the scene.

The incident happened last Monday early in the morning in Bakersfield, California. The company provides immigration and naturalization services, and the burners probably liked the place less. From a security camera, the two are seen starting a fire while wearing masks, the two are seen pouring gasoline on the business.

One of the men then leans down to ignite the gasoline, but as soon as he does, the sudden and rapid fire catches them both by surprise. The suspected arsonist who started the fire is seen running away with flames caught on his leg, while the other is also repeatedly trying to escape the fire.

“Ahhhh,” one of the men was heard screaming before running off into the darkness with his back on fire. The flames were extinguished about 10 minutes after the arrival of the fire brigade. Business owner Max Solorsano told police the city of Bakersfield needs to do more to keep locals safe.

“They need to work harder in that aspect, in keeping the community safe,” he said. “We are a small business and we help many people, there will be people who will not be able to receive our services due to inactivity.”
