Residents of Narimanov district faced problems with water supply. Now the authorities have managed to find a temporary solution, but in the future other options for a stable water supply to villages will be prepared.

According to the regional government, the water treatment station located in the village of Kurchenko supplies water to six villages of the Narimanov region with a population of 5 thousand people. The interruptions were caused by the low water level in the Shushai ilmen.

The day before, an operational meeting was held under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the region Mikhail Bogomolov. According to him, the problem of supplying drinking water to the villages of Lineinoe, Turkmenka, Yango-Asker, Kurchenko with drinking water did not appear yesterday, it has not been comprehensively solved for many years.

-Today, with the direct intervention of the regional governor, we have provided power supply to the pumping station to fill the ilmen, from which water is taken for the population. But this is only a temporary, local solution to this issue, – explained Bogomolov.

He stressed that this issue needs to be addressed strategically. Such meetings will be held regularly to consolidate problems in other areas and apply an integrated approach to them. The corresponding instructions were received by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Astrakhan Region.

Also, the head of the Narimanov region was instructed to prepare alternative options for sustainable water supply to villages in the zone of the western steppe ilmen, so that the problem does not take on a protracted nature. According to Bogomolov, the issue of the construction of the GTS, the clearing of waterways and the dredging of Ilmen Shushay is to be resolved.

The head of the Narimanov region clarified that now the supply of drinking water is carried out, for this they use all official cars and attract private transport.
