Waterborne Diseases in Pakistan; The World Health Organization expressed concern

by time news

ISLAMABAD: The World Health Organization has expressed concern over the rise in water-borne diseases in the country in the wake of the devastating floods that have devastated many parts of Pakistan.

In a statement released by WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, flood-affected areas in Pakistan have disrupted water supplies, forcing people to drink unsafe water that could cause cholera and other diseases.

The World Health Organization has also warned people across Pakistan’s flood-prone Sindh province to be extra vigilant.
