Thoothukudi Vausi Port team won the All India Big Ports Basketball Tournament and won the trophy.
The All India Basketball Tournament between the major ports started on the 22nd at the Thoothukudi Vausi Port Authority Grounds. The tournament was attended by teams from four major ports – Tuticorin, Chennai, Odisha Paradip and Visakhapatnam.
Thoothukudi Vausi Port team won the first place, Paradip Port team won the second place, Chennai Port team won the third place and Visakhapatnam team won the fourth place.
At the awards ceremony held on Sunday night, the winners of the competition were presented with their prizes by the Chairman of the Wausau Port Authority, T.K. Ramachandran presented the trophies. During the event, former coach of the Wausau Port team Simpson and former hero Sivaguru were honored.
