Naukas BCAM, Pi Day will be celebrated on Thursday, March 14, 2024

Thursday March 14, 2022we will celebrate a new edition of the special event dedicated to mathematics at the Bizkaia Aretoa (UPV/EHU) in Bilbao: BCAM NAUKAS, Pi Day. This event is made possible thanks to Basque Center for Applied Mathematics and the Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Basque Country, and will feature some of the most interesting figures of mathematical dissemination in our country. As usual the event will be held at Bizkaia Hall (C/Abandoibarra 3, Bilbao).

BCAM-NAUKAS will take place during the morning mathematical laboratoriesto bring mathematics closer to primary and secondary school students in a playful and engaging way.

In the afternoon we will continue with the celebration of this day through dynamic and in-depth 15-minute scientific conferences, which will be held in the Mitxelena room in Bizkaia Aretoa, through which we will learn about the properties and applications of the number pi in daily life.

We will soon publish the program of talks, workshops and activities but, in the meantime, you can now organize your agenda so as not to miss the first Naukas event of 2024… See you very soon!
