We attacked Hadrut in the evening of October 6, 2020.
Day.Az reports that a member of Commando said this in his statement to Trend.
He noted that the attack on Hadrut was carried out from the direction of Gabriel.
“During our movement, we ambushed and destroyed about 40 soldiers of the enemy on the road. After destroying them, we began to infiltrate deep into Hadrut. The enemy’s military unit was located in Hadrut. We attacked there. The enemy was three times more numerous than us. However, we destroyed the enemy. Despite our martyrs and wounded in this battle, we took control of the Hadrut settlement. After the liberation of Hadrut, the direction became the city of Shusha. I wish God’s mercy to our martyrs and good health to our veterans,” said a member of the Commando.
It should be noted that today is the 4th anniversary of the liberation of Hadrut from the invaders. The liberation of Hadrut can be said to be the turning point or rising point of the 44-day Patriotic War. After this operation, the Armenian armed forces fully realized that they were rapidly heading towards defeat.
After the liberation of Hadrut, the Azerbaijani army began to advance in the direction of Mount Big Kirs, Red Bazaar, Shusha and Khojavand. Gaining an advantage there, Fuzuli blocked the supply route to the Armenian militants who were still fighting with our army in the direction of Gargabazar. The Hadrut operation was one of the great successes of our army in the first decade of the war, and it was the next great failure of the Armenian army after the separation of the defense barrier.
