The candidate for head of Government for the “Let’s Keep Making History” coalition, Clara Brugada, met this Tuesday with members of the Megabloc of Popular Commerce, before whom she explained the need to recognize the work they represent for Mexico City by allowing an opportunity different from survival.

During the meeting with representatives of more than 60 organizations, the standard bearer of Morena, PT and PVEM to lead the country’s capital committed to creating the Institute of Popular Commerce of Mexico City, whose objective is to promote the implementation of public policies that allow the rights of non-salaried workers to be guaranteed.

Likewise, he added that with said institute, better planning and organization plans can be designed to overcome the constant disagreement over the use of spaces and thus ensure coexistence of all citizens.

“This is going to mean having the best studies, the best plans and the best protocols with popular commerce; trade plans organized from one place, which can always be discussed with groups and organizations,” Brugada highlighted.

The candidate for head of Government stressed that there is a large debt with non-salaried workers, mainly with those who are dedicated to commerce on public roads, since, for example, they do not have social security, which, she assured, will be provided in their management. through the IMMS-Wellbeing system.

On the other hand, the Morenista pointed out that she will also seek to support women in this sector, who sometimes work two or even three shifts a day and still manage to do domestic work, so she will encourage them to have access to the Public Care Service. that he proposes.

Finally, in terms of security, Brugada promised to guarantee zero tolerance for corruption, extortion and abuse against popular commerce.
