Amorebieta opens the fire of the competition in LaLiga Hypermotion this Friday in Lezama (7:00 p.m.) against Levante. A first duel to which the blues arrive with renewed airs. Gone seems to have been that inexperienced Urritxe club from two seasons ago in what was his first adventure in professional football. The learning of that course has served to return on the fast track to Second. And this time the zornotzarras will fight with guarantees so that it is not something temporary.
That change of speech has been felt in the words of Haritz Mujika in the preview of this redebut in the Silver Division. The Pasajes coach has unceremoniously launched that they are going to play “without any fear, with ambition. We are a Second Division team, like the other twenty-one, and we are going to show that we want to continue being here.”
The good preseason made by the zornotzarras, in which beyond the results they have left good feelings, makes the blues face this premiere with optimism, but aware of the difficulty of facing one of the coconuts in the category. “The team has adapted well, we have done many things well, but there are also others to correct, of course,” says Mujika. «Levante is a very tough team, but we want to start well at home. We have the capacity and qualities to add the three points », he expresses.
Although Amorebieta has only 19 players (one less due to Lasure’s loss due to injury), Haritz Mujika is clear that “we have a competitive squad” with “better players” and “more quality” than the one two seasons ago. Something logical, on the other hand, given the increasing competitive demands. “Every year you have to raise the level. To return to Second we had to do it. Those who have stayed this year we believe that they are the ideal ones for the category, and those who have come will contribute a lot to us », he asserts.
“We want to make a level squad,” says the head of the Urritxe bench, also aware of the difficulties that Amorebieta is encountering to add new troops. “We can only hope that the job is done and we bring in the best possible players. The club is making a great effort to make the best possible team”, he comments. “The market moves a lot at the end, you have to wait,” Mujika insists.
Personally, after his successful year in the First Federation, Mujika returns to a category in which he was already able to direct a dozen games. He faces it as “a challenge, an apprenticeship” and is willing to put everything on his side “so that the club and the enthusiasm of the people continue to grow.” At this point, the coach of the zornotzarras insists that they must be “ambitious, go game by game and try to finish as high as possible.”
