Once again, the manner of meeting of the Regional Committee became a topic of discussion, with the heads of the opposition factions raising both the question of the space and how the positions, questions and voting will be done.
The governor of Epirus, Alexandros Kahrimanis, defended the choice of Office 215, in which the Epirus Film Office operates on the rest of the days, due to the existence of a suitable table, while he replied to the request for a live broadcast of the meetings that “we are not an attraction”.
The issue of the operation of the Regional Committee was initially raised by the leader of the faction “Public of Epirotes” Yiannis Stefos, who before the start of the meeting accused the head of the “People’s Gathering” Giorgos Prentzas of trying to create impressions with the way he raised the issue in his letter, leaving clear spikes for the agreement of the remaining factions in the selection of the governor for summary proceedings. The head of the “Epirus Olon – Place to Live” faction, Stefanos Zoumbas, also agreed with Mr. Stefos, saying that he is not in opposition for the opposition’s sake.
“I care that the issues progress”, was the response of the regional governor regarding the manner of the meeting, with the only difference being that from now on he will have the official agents on stand by, in order to provide clarifications on issues that arise.
Today’s proceedings went in the usual way, with moments of tension alternating with moments of relaxed mood and jokes, sometimes reminiscent of a conversation in a coffee shop. There were, of course, also the… nails from time to time, with the most characteristic saying “you have many bodyguards in here” by G. Prendza to Al. Kahrimanis, which did not only concern the deputy governor Vassilis Psathas, with whom he had a heated dialogue.
