The president of Atresmedia, Jose Creuherashas expressed today before the shareholders of Atresmedia gathered in the General Meeting that the leading communication group in Spain “has experienced, without a doubt, the best year in its entire history» thanks to its « great adaptability ».

«Atresmedia has been an indisputable benchmark for years in all the areas of activity in which it operates, and 2022 has reaffirmed it. We are recognized for our audience leadership, but also by our attributes: innovation, quality, professionalism, plurality, diversity, respect or responsibility. These are qualities in which we are also unquestionable leaders, because for us they are essential values”, said Creuheras.

A strength that has allowed it not only to overcome the covid crisis, but also the entry into the market of new and powerful competitors and the profound mutation in society’s audiovisual consumption habits. “All in one changing regulatory ecosystem, asymmetric and that we consider unfair in a good part of his approaches”, added Creuheras.

The president of Atresmedia has stressed that the new CEO, Javier Bardají, during his previous stage as general director of Atresmedia Televisión, he knew how to turn it into the main audiovisual content factory in Spain and one of the most important in the entire Spanish-speaking world. Likewise, he thanked the work of the former CEO and current Executive Vice President, Silvio Gonzalezof which he has stated that “we have the privilege of continuing to count on him and his extensive experience”.

To the “indisputable success” of Antena 3, which has made history and is the “flagship” of Atresmedia after 18 uninterrupted months as the most watched television in Spain, joins that of all the Group’s channels. “The content offered by Atresmedia Televisión is by far the most preferred by Spanish society”, Creuheras remarked.

It has also emphasized other successes of the company during 2022, highlighting that of the Radio Division with 2.8 million listeners in its three channels (Onda Cero, Europa FM and Melodía FM). About Onda Cero, has influenced its backbone role “with respect, seriousness and rigor”.
