After a fire burned the village of Voden and left people on the streets, seven vans (out of a promised 15) arrived in the area. However, residents report that they will need to be repaired because they have been used and some of them have mold. They are calling on the state to cover the cost of rebuilding their houses.

“They have been using these vans in other places. Plus, during transportation, there are “traumas” to the structures that are inflicted. And because now they are single, where there are more people, we drive two – one for the children and one for the parents”, explains Hristo Hristov, mayor of Bolyarovo.

The van for Jancho was left in his yard yesterday while he was spending the night with his relatives. He can’t open it because he doesn’t have a key.

“They put in a van, but I don’t like it. It’s crooked. Touring van – everything messed up,” commented Yancho from the village of Voden.

People are worried that they will be left in vans and are asking the state for funds to rebuild their houses.

“If an organization had been created in the evening, if there had been fire brigades, if a wide strip had been made with a tractor, this would not have happened – burning the whole of Strandzha. This is their mistake, let them now bear all the costs for us,” said Zlatka Yaneva from the village of Voden.

The inhabitants of the burned villages are ready to protest if they stay on the wagons.

“We are going to Parliament – we are all standing there and until this matter is resolved, we will not leave them alone. We want our houses,” said Zlatka Yaneva categorically.

Four out of five outbreaks are localized. There is no danger to the settlements in the burning perimeter between the villages of Kraynovo and Golyam Dervent.

“In the afternoon we expect constant surprises, every day we face this thing, but I hope that we are going to the final,” senior commissioner Lyubomir Barov, deputy director of the State Security Service, told bTV.

From the air, the battle with the fire continues – the four helicopters (two Bulgarian and two Czech) and the two Spanish planes are fighting the fiery element.
