INTERVIEW The scientific curator of the exhibition, Jean Jouzel, wishes to highlight the attractive nature of the ecological transition.

Paleoclimatologist Jean Jouzel is scientific curator of the new permanent exhibition at the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie in Paris dedicated to the climate emergency.

LE FIGARO. –Tell us about the genesis of the project whose title of the exhibition has changed to be called “Climate emergency”…

Jean JOUZEL. –From the start of the project, two and a half years ago, I agreed to be the scientific curator of the exhibition. It’s not the first time for me. I had already shared this role in 2008, for the exhibition “Atmosphere… the climate revealed by ice”, at the museum of the Conservatory of Arts and Crafts with the climatologist Didier Hauglustaine. The title of this new project has changed from “Ecological transition” to “Climate emergency”. A title that is more in tune with the times. And, indeed, it is now that it will be played.
