Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said that the confrontation has gone beyond the support stage and has turned into a major battle, and that the response to the assassination of military commander Fouad Shukr is inevitable and will be serious, real and thoughtful.

Nasrallah stressed – in a speech he gave today, Thursday, during the funeral of the military commander Fouad Shukr, who was assassinated by Israel during an airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Tuesday evening – that the enemy and those behind the enemy must await our inevitable response, and there is no discussion or debate, and between us are the days, nights, and the field.

He said that the enemy does not know where our response will come from, whether from the north or south of Palestine, and whether it will be scattered or simultaneous, adding that we are looking for a real response and not a formal one as some are promoting, but rather a very well-thought-out response.

He stressed that the region is facing a major battle that will have repercussions that some do not realize on the future of the enemy, adding that we are facing a major battle in which matters have gone beyond the issue of support after the assassination of Shukr in Beirut and the martyrdom of the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran.

He explained that the assassination of Commander Haniyeh in Tehran confirms the stupidity of the enemy who thought that Iran would remain silent about what happened, stressing that Iranian officials believe that their sovereignty, prestige, national security and honor have been violated.
