It has been eight and a half years since reports of Michael Schumacher’s ski accident have left the sports world in shock. The legend of Formula 1 who surfed in the French Alps crashed and hit his head with a stone while surfing with his son and since then Schumacher’s condition has continued to be bad, with his family keeping him and his status out of the public eye.
Yesterday (Monday), in an interview with Italian Gazzetta, Schumacher’s agent and manager, Willy Weber, attacked the legendary driver’s family for leaving him out of the public eye as well as his own: “It hurt me terribly. I also spoke to Jean Todd (then FIA president) and asked him if I should go to the hospital to visit him, but he told me it was too early.”

Although Weber admitted that he initially understood the secrecy surrounding the German’s condition, he has attacked the family for its conduct since: “I have always done everything to maintain his privacy, so I understand the situation, but since we only heard lies from them. Since the accident the family has released updates on Schumacher’s condition. In 2016, the German’s lawyer said he could not walk, when three years later another update was released claiming that his condition was improving, but he had problems communicating with his surroundings. In the latest update regarding his condition, it has been claimed that he is alert and conscious.
