Ivonne Toro said that Denisse Llanos does not show remorse for the death of her daughter or for having exposed her to sexual abuse by her partners.

Journalist Ivonne Toro, author of the book The Amber Girl, which tells the story of Ámbar Cornejo and her murder at the hands of Hugo Bustamante and his mother Denisse Llanos, gave details of the chilling confession of the woman.

Toro told MegaNoticias that Llanos shows no remorse for the death of his daughter or having exposed her to sexual abuse by her partners, lamenting only that “she is alone” in prison.

“I got the feeling that she doesn’t regret it, because at one point, in a conversation, she tells me: The worst thing about all this is that now I’m alone.. There is a girl who was murdered who is her daughter… There is a woman who is alone today, who is her mother, but for her the worst thing is that she is imprisoned, alone and she cannot talk, she cannot have a good time,” the journalist recounted.

For Ivonne Toro, “that is Denisse’s personality structure, of being incapable of seeing the other as someone who deserves respect and whose pain must be taken into account. In Ámbar’s case it is not just apathy, it is a permanent intervention to prevent the girl from being happy.”

On the other hand, Ámbar Cornejo always tried to avoid causing problems for her mother, since “when she reported her first sexual aggressor, her pain was that he had harmed her mother. She, faced with this absolute lack of love on Denisse’s part, responds with affection, even though her treatment was aggressive.”

The journalist was drastic in stating that, after interviewing Denisse Llanos and Hugo Bustamante, she realized that “absolute evil exists. Without any justification, when they explain to me why they kill Ámbar and give me their three reasons, with absolute coldness, moreover, Denisse telling me: We also killed her because we wanted the IFE money. You see it and you say, there are things that have no explanation.”
