Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, affirmed today, Monday, Kuwait’s constant keenness to implement more projects to serve the Palestinian people.

Al-Sayer said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the occasion of the conclusion of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society delegation’s visit to Palestine, “Kuwait, as a prince, government and people, supports Palestine and stands with it, and we are among the first to provide support to Palestine in the fields of health, relief and food.”

Al-Sayer indicated that during the visit, the delegation opened 16 shops in the Al-Lahhamin market in the Old City of Jerusalem, explaining that it has endeavors to restore the remaining 69 shops in the same market to install the Palestinians in the Holy City to confront the occupation’s policies that aim to expel them.

Regarding the “Mohammed Zaman Aqeel” intensive care unit for children, which was inaugurated by the Palestinian Prime Minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh, yesterday, Sunday, in the Kuwaiti Hospital, Al-Sayer said that the Aqil family donated more than three million dollars to rehabilitate and furnish the unit.

He appreciated the efforts of the Kuwaiti, Jordanian and Palestinian foreign ministries and the Kuwaiti embassy in Jordan, which was referred to Palestine, to facilitate the mission of the delegation.
Al-Sayer expressed his thanks to the Palestine Red Crescent Society for inviting and hosting the delegation, praising its affiliated institutions and projects, especially the School for Education and Rehabilitation of the Deaf, which the delegation visited and was briefed on what it offers to this group.

It is noteworthy that the delegation of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society concluded today its visit to Palestine, which lasted for two days, to inaugurate a number of projects with Kuwaiti support, in addition to holding multiple meetings and visiting a number of institutions.
