The Holy Imam Hussein Shrine confirmed today, Thursday, that the first batch of wounded Lebanese received by its hospitals included 44 people, noting that most of their injuries were in the head and abdomen.

The head of the Health and Education Authority at the Imam Hussein Shrine, Haider al-Abdi, told the (INA): “After the Supreme Leader Ali al-Sistani directed us to extend a helping hand to the Lebanese people and provide them with relief, the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine began receiving the first batch of those wounded from the Zionist attack on Lebanon at the Imam Hospital.” Zain al-Abidin, 44 wounded.

Al-Abdi added, “A specialized cell was formed in the medical field and another in the field of non-medical equipment, through which packages of necessary medicines and medical devices were sent to the Lebanese people,” explaining, “The priority will be to treat the injured Lebanese, as beds have been prepared in other hospitals.” To receive the meals coming from the wounded,” he stressed, “Work is underway to create the appropriate conditions for transporting the second batch of wounded to Iraq.”

For his part, the General Director of Zain al-Abidin Hospital, Abdul Rahman Ismail, told the (INA): “In compliance with the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority in Najaf al-Ashraf, and under the direct supervision of the legitimate guardian of the Hussein Shrine, the health and medical education hospitals affiliated with the Hussein Shrine received a number of The wounded Lebanese,” he explained, “This meal is the first, and there are other batches that will be transported successively.”

Ismail pointed out, “The Holy Shrine of Hussein provided great logistical support to the Lebanese people, which was embodied in sending medical supplies, devices, food supplies, and others to the Lebanese people.”

Ismail revealed that “the injuries received by the hospital were different and in multiple areas of the body, including injuries to the head, abdomen, and leg,” pointing out that “some of them will be admitted to operating theaters to perform advanced medical interventions.”
