Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Dr. Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmed said, we have made 83 recommendations on behalf of LDP. They are not for any party benefit, not for political gain. Not for our personal benefit.
He said these things after a meeting with the chief adviser of the interim government on Saturday (August 31) afternoon.
He said, dictatorial governments were in the past. It was run in a fascist style. People had no human rights, no freedom.
Oli Ahmed said, we have made 83 recommendations. And said that whatever is necessary for the reformation of the Interim Government, or for the regular routine work, shall be taken. No need to accept the rest.
He said, our main goal is a clean Bangladesh. Corruption free Bangladesh, extortion free Bangladesh. So far we have not been able to free Bangladesh from extortionists. Dictatorship is free, extortion is not yet free. Justice is still not being served in court. As long as the common people do not get justice, this freedom has no value. Every person should understand that I am a citizen of a free country. Keeping that in mind, we have made 83 recommendations.
He also said, if Jamaat can be canceled for trivial reasons, why not cancel their (Awami League) for killing thousands of our boys and girls, missing thousands more in 15 years? Their abolition is essential. If it is not cancelled, dictatorship will be born in the future.
