The Iranians are trying to deflect global criticism against the violent repression of the protesters in the hijab protest and the execution of a protester this week.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “We are demonstrating maximum restraint in the face of the riots. Unlike many Western regimes, which violently repress even ‘calm’ demonstrators, Iran has taken moderate and decent actions – legal and practical – in order to control the riots.”

The Iranians blamed the West and said: “Instead of spreading lies for political reasons, the West should stop supporting terrorists.”

As you may remember, Mohsen Shakari, an Iranian citizen who protested against the authorities in Iran, is the first to be executed by judicial sentence since the protests against the regime began almost three months ago.

Apart from Shakari himself, many were killed not by trial but by the fire of the Revolutionary Guards who opened live fire on demonstrators in some of the demonstrations.

Shakari was convicted in court and sentenced to death by hanging after the indictment was accepted. According to the indictment, Shakari “started a war against Allah” when he blocked streets.

He was also accused of injuring an Iranian fighter with a long knife. This is according to the publication on the British BBC network. In the announcement of the Iranian Ministry of Justice, Mohsen was executed by hanging.

In Germany they condemned the execution and said that the execution proves Iran’s attitude and that it “shows contempt for humanity”. Likewise in France they condemned and said that they “strongly condemn the execution”.
