The police have arrested a youth from Karnataka who tried to cheat a gold coin from a resident of Alangudi.
Ayub Khan hails from Malhavarayanpatti village near Alangudi in Pudukottai district. The mysterious person told the phone of the person who runs a furniture shop that he would give more gold coins for less money.
In this case, after knowing that the person speaking belonged to the fraud gang, Ayub Khan asked the young man how much gold coin he would give him for how much money. He said that he will give 200 gold coins for 5 lakh rupees.
After this, Ayub Khan asked the person to come to Alangudi and collect the money and give him the gold coin. Following this, a young man who came to Alangudi gave 20 gold coins to Ayub Khan. When he bought it, it was revealed that all of them were fake gold coins.
After this Ayub Khan caught the person and handed him over to Alangudi police station. In the investigation conducted by the police, it was revealed that the concerned youth is Vijayakumar (23) from Machella village of Vijayanagar district of Karnataka state and many others like him are involved in gold coin fraud in that area.
Following this, the police arrested Vijayakumar, produced him in court and imprisoned him.
