Just before Manchester City’s match against Chelsea tonight (Thursday) at 22:00, Pep Guardiola spoke at a press conference about the Premier League title fight against Arsenal and provided a number of interesting answers about how he sees things from his angle.

“The only way to reduce the gap is to play well and win games,” he said Guardiola, who added about the rival from first place: “Arsenal has a good average, and if they continue like this they will reach 100 points and we will not be able to catch them. The way she played against Newcastle really impressed me, she lost two points, but her ability was very good.”

When asked if his experience will prove itself again, the Spaniard replied: “I don’t think that getting older necessarily means getting smarter. We will have to be almost perfect from now on and hope they weaken a bit. I see how we played in the last games and overall the feeling is very good”.

About tonight’s meeting at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea, who managed to win only one game out of their last seven games, the coach said: “It will not be an easy game against a strong and trained team. No matter in what state you arrive at this court, it will always be difficult.”
