Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian confirmed on Thursday that his country will not hesitate to respond in an appropriate and deterrent manner against any Zionist violation.
Abdullahian said, during the Security Council session on the situation in the Middle East and was followed by the (INA), that “the Zionist bombing of our consulate in Damascus is a clear violation of international law and the Security Council did not take any action,” pointing out that “the Iranian attack is a response to the aggression.” “The repeated violations of the Zionist entity are a legitimate right according to international law.”
He continued, “The Iranian attack focused only on two Israeli bases that were used in the attack on Iranian interests,” adding, “We committed ourselves for a long time to restraint, but we had no choice but to respond to the aggression after the bombing of our consulate.”
He stressed, “We will not hesitate to respond in an appropriate and deterrent manner against any Zionist violation.”
He pointed out, “The Security Council must force the Zionist occupation to stop the aggression and genocide in the Gaza Strip.”
