It was reported in a statement that while carrying out security and crime prevention patrols in the General Plutarco Elías Calles municipality, personnel from both institutions spotted a group of civilians wearing tactical vests and long weapons, who, upon noticing the presence of the official units, fled in different directions.

With the appropriate security measures, the staff approached the site and deployed a device to search for the individuals, without obtaining positive results; however, the following was located in the area:
2 .50 caliber rifles.
12 explosive devices designed to be launched from a drone.
50 chargers for long weapons.
2,134 cartridges for weapons of different calibers.

The rifles, magazines and cartridges were seized and made available to the Public Prosecutor’s office in the state to continue the corresponding investigations.
Meanwhile, the ministerial authority itself authorized the destruction of the explosives at the site of the discovery, to avoid risks to the population.
