Thiruvananthapuram: The website that published the zero buffer zone map given to the Center has gone on strike. As more people logged in at once, the website became sluggish. Websites including PRD have gone on strike. However, the issue was resolved later.

The map shows the areas around the protected forest areas given to the Center in 2021. Along with the map, the site also provided an application form for people to file complaints. The government informed that the map was released to understand exactly which places, wards and panchayats are included in the reserved area.

The map was published amid growing concern over the reserve. Eco-sensitive areas were marked in pink, forests in green, residential areas in violet, panchayats in black and commercial buildings in red. It was announced that the map will be displayed in the government offices at local levels.
