Wedding ceremonies banned in Islamabad after 10 pm; markets to shut across Pakistan at 8.30 pm to conserve electricity

Pakistan is facing a severe financial crisis. Pakistan has been requesting foreign countries to lend to the World Bank to address the situation.

Meanwhile, severe power shortages are prevailing in various parts of the country due to financial crisis and other reasons. The power cut lasted for several hours.

In this situation, the government of Pakistan is taking various measures to save electricity. In that regard, the government has decided to impose time restrictions on markets across the country. Accordingly, markets across the country will no longer be allowed to operate beyond 8.30pm. Also, Islamabad has been banned from hosting weddings after 10pm.
