Satish (A) Manikandan (28) hails from Villianur Murthy, Pondicherry. He works as an AC mechanic and got married to Mathivathana (25) 4 months ago.
His opponent is Shankar. Shankar (35) and his wife Ramani (28) cut the cake in the middle of the street on their wedding day last night. It is said that Ramani’s cousin Raja (26) and his friends Azhar (23) from Thennal area and Tamilchelvan (23) from Villianur Kanuvapet Puthunagar got involved in the celebration by drinking alcohol and uttering inappropriate words. This has been tapped by Satish and his friends.
When there was an argument between them, the people there appeased both sides and sent them away. Shortly afterwards, Satish stood outside his house and spoke on the phone. Azhar, Tamilchelvan, Raja and Shankar who came there at that time stabbed Satish in the throat and abdomen with a knife.
Injured Satish fell down. Satish’s wife and relatives heard the noise and ran away. The murderous mob that saw them fled from there. Relatives rescued Satish and rushed him to the Puducherry Government Hospital for treatment.
While being admitted to the intensive care unit, Satish succumbed to his injuries. Police led by Villianur Inspector Krishnan went to the spot and conducted an investigation.
Over 5 people in this regard Case record Were doing and searching. Police today (Jan. 9) arrested Azhar, Tamilchelvan, Raja, Shankar and his wife Ramani who were hiding in the same area. They were later produced in court and sentenced to life in federal prison.
