jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Flag Ceremony for the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which falls on August 17, 2024, will be held in the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN), East Kalimantan.
Therefore, the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) will continue to provide updated information regarding the development of the IKN.
This includes synergizing with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) which is currently making various preparations ahead of the ceremony at the IKN.
“We hope to continue to build synergy and collaboration between ministries and institutions to provide fast, accurate, objective information to all Indonesian people, so as to be able to increase public trust in the Government’s commitment regarding the development of the IKN,” said the Director of Information and Communication for the Economy and Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Septriana Tangkary during a Press Conference on PUPR Infrastructure Readiness Ahead of the Implementation of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Flag Ceremony at the IKN online, Thursday (11/7).
Head of the Ministry of PUPR’s IKN Infrastructure Development Planning Task Force, Imam Santoso Ernawi, explained that there are six areas that PUPR is focusing on ahead of the August 17 Ceremony.
Namely the scope of the Government Office Core Area (KIPP), regional planning, housing, KIPP and regional connectivity, Water Resources (SDA) and urban drainage, as well as drinking water and sanitation.
Imam explained that ahead of August 17, the functional side will be prioritized, after which the construction of the IKN will continue to be completed.
“During the 17th, it does not mean that all the buildings are finished but functional so they can be used. But for the 17th activities, we will use the rooms that are functional for the activities there,” explained Imam.
