The Government of El Salvador, through the National Administration of Aqueducts and Sewers (ANDA), inaugurated the Caña Brava well that will strengthen the drinking water service of Santiago Texacuangos and San Francisco Chinameca, with a total investment of $1,295,197.50.
The project consisted of the drilling of the well with a depth of 300 meters and the electromechanical equipment, which includes the supply and installation of the electrical substation, pumping equipment with its respective hydraulic accessories, the installation of two pumps in the cistern and the secondary electrical system for all equipment.
In addition, the construction of a 50 cubic meter cistern was carried out, the construction of the control house with its proper equipment and the installation of 282 meters of 12″ cast iron pipe with its respective valves.
This project will benefit more than 15,850 inhabitants from different sectors of Santiago Texacuangos and San Francisco Chinameca, and is part of the work to improve drinking water systems in both urban and rural areas and ensure supply to more families.
