The people of the country stand by the victims during this crisis. Actress Shabnam Bubli has also extended her hand of cooperation. He rushed to the remote areas of Noakhali with relief materials.
Early on Thursday (August 29), Bubli rushed to the flood-hit remote areas of Noakhali with a pickup full of relief supplies. Bubli distributed relief by boat in several areas including Senbagh, Banglabazar, Chatkhil, Begumganj, Sonaimuri and Chatarpaya of this district.
In this regard, Shabnam Bubli said, ‘Since the beginning of the flood, I have tried to be with the flood-affected people as much as possible. Despite the support from Dhaka for these few days, the plan was to physically stand by the side of the Banvasis. Communications were fragile in the flood waters, so I waited a bit. As per plan, yesterday I went to many remote areas of Noakhali. Where everyone is suffering. I tried to be by their side as much as I could.’
Bubli said about the experience of relief distribution, ‘Seeing the people in the forest up close, the sufferings felt more double. Like me, I always try to stay close to these loving people. Because it’s my peace of mind.’
‘In the true sense of everyone’s solidarity and love, a lot of gifts have been collected in Dhaka for the people who are in danger of floods. But reaching them is the biggest challenge now. Because the communication system in the flood water is very fragile towards the village.’ said Bubli.
Shabnam Bubli shared some pictures taken during the relief distribution among the flood victims on her Facebook. Explaining the reason for posting the pictures on Facebook, Bubli said, ‘I shared some pictures of running to the foresters on Facebook on purpose. So that others see me encouraged. Many people can say a lot that I have given pictures for the show off. But actually it is not. I have tried to share a good work with everyone, which many others are encouraged to see. Right now it is most important to stand by the people.’
