West Bank: Israeli incursion into Jenin and closure of entrances to Hebron

The West Bank is witnessing the largest Israeli military operation since 2002, which has been ongoing since Wednesday, while the Israeli incursion into the city of Jenin has expanded, which has witnessed a displacement movement from its eastern neighborhood, and has turned into a ghost town.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, two Palestinians were killed on Sunday by Israeli army fire in the town of Kafr Dan, near the northern city of Jenin. Thus, the death toll in the northern West Bank rose to 24, including 14 fighters.

In a related context, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced today, Monday, its full responsibility for the operations in the “Gush Etzion” and “Karmei Tzur” settlements near the city of Hebron in the southern West Bank, according to what was reported by the “German News Agency.”

The operation took place late last Friday evening near the city of Hebron, south of the West Bank, and resulted in the injury of 3 Israeli soldiers, including a senior officer, and the storming of the homes of the two perpetrators.

Later, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced, on Monday, the martyrdom of the perpetrators, Muhammad Marqa and Zahdi Abu Afif, by the occupation forces’ bullets north of Hebron.

In a related context, the Israeli army arrested six Palestinians today, Monday, and closed roads in the Hebron Governorate, south of the West Bank.

In turn, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation “Kan” reported on Monday that a car bomb was found at the entrance to the Ateret settlement, north of Ramallah, in the West Bank.

The Binyamin Regional Council announced that a vehicle with two large gas tanks connected to an operating mechanism was located and neutralized at the entrance to the Ateret settlement, and experts from the police and army were called in to deal with the vehicle.
