The first eight games of the fifth round of the Europa League ended tonight (Thursday) and these are the teams that have secured promotion to the following stages: Lyon, Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen and West Ham will play in the quarter-finals of the Europa League. Betis and Rangers will play in the playoffs of the Europa League. In addition, Celtic of Nir Bitton and Liel Abda and Penbrachcha will play in the Conference League playoffs.
These are the other teams that have secured one of the first two places but it is still unclear whether they will finish in first place, leading to the quarter-finals or finish in second place, leading to the Europa League playoffs: Frankfurt, Olympiacos, Glatsray and Lazio.
These are the teams that have secured at least third place, leading to the Conference League playoffs: Eindhoven, Real Sociedad, Red Star, Braga, Midtown and Dynamo Zagreb.

Brondby – Lyon 3: 1
Rangers – Sparta Prague 0: 2
The French have already secured their place in the last 16 of the Europa League but have not taken their foot off the gas tonight against the Danes. The Scots defeated the Czechs and secured at their expense the promotion to the playoffs of the European. In the last round Sparta Prague will host Brondby and any result other than a loss will give them third place and a ticket to the playoffs of the Conference League. If you lose, the Danes will take their place at the next stage.
