Director Omar Lulu praised Mohanlal’s film Monster, which hit the theaters this weekend. Sharing the still of Mohanlal’s character, Omar Lulu wrote on social media that the film is a good entertainer. “Laletan’s Monster is a much better entertainer than a movie that I went to the theater and died of lag after seeing fans rejecting it on Facebook. Honey Rose is also a hit,” Omar noted.
Monster’s USP was the reunion of Pulimurugan’s crew, who will always be remembered among Malayalam industry hits. Mohanlal starrer directed by Vysakh and scripted by Udayakrishna. Produced by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas, the film has been screened worldwide.
The film is being released in 216 screens in Kerala alone. The film has a wide release in other states as well. The film hit 141 screens in Bengaluru, Chennai, Trichy, Salem, Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Goa, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Bhopal, Jaipur and Bhubaneswar. So a total of 357 screens in India. The film, which is facing a GCC release ban due to its LGBTQIA+ content, has a good screen count in Europe. Monster is showing on 104 screens in the UK alone. Distributors inform that Monster has the biggest screen count for a Malayalam film in Europe.
