What do I want? The best Melbi dishes in Tel Aviv

by time news

“Ba li malbi” is a phrase that is heard more and more on the streets of Tel Aviv, especially on days like these when the sun is burning and nothing comes better than a chilled and sweet malbi. The dessert may be seen as simple and popular, but over the past few years it has grown and reached a status of honor and has been cast into a variety of special variations – we even found a croissant in its image. But wait, breathe. These are the best Melbi in Tel Aviv.

The classic | From the heart of Djani

For the sake of tradition, we’ll start with the classic Melbi, which happens to be one of the tastiest in town. Behind Melbi Dejani are no less than three generations of making Melbi with a traditional preparation method: a glass cup, a whitish pudding with a thick and precise texture and a swirl of phosphorescent pink rose water syrup – this is the whole Torah. For the best of the best, we would also recommend having fun and trying the chocolate Melbi that is offered on the spot, which tastes a bit like Carlo’s delicacy, and who doesn’t love Carlo’s?

The chai | from Bali

Mbali call themselves a workshop for malabi, and just by the very announcement we feel obligated to taste it, even if it means visiting the neighbor Ramat Gan. Indeed, it is a Melbi that is made with the craft of thought. The milky one, based on cream, is soft and blessed, and there is also a vegan one based on coconut cream. At Mbali, they make flavored malabi, and we particularly liked the fragrant chai malabi, to which are added hot chai spices such as cardamom and cloves alongside roasted almonds and halva hair. Delicious, cools the tongue and warms the heart.

Always surprising Melbi of a second ram

You should look for El Shani’s Melbi in North Abraxas or Port Said, and from time to time he also pops in to visit Kissa Mirage and the other Shani spots. There is nothing to say, this is a great Melbi with a velvety creamy cream with the addition of fresh seasonal fruits – sometimes figs, sometimes mango, sometimes peach, it will always surprise. And as with Eyal Shani, today’s Melbi is never yesterday’s Melbi. Every day is a little different, sometimes pistachios, syrup or almonds are added, but what is certain – the bite always wins.

the prestigious | Sheila

The name of Sheila’s Melbi has reached far and wide and for good reason, it is a spring take-off on the traditional Persian dessert – a rich and solid Melbi cream that is served with semi-frozen and slightly sour raspberry granita, raspberry and coconut caviar (no less) and a baked and buttery almond financier that decorates the plate all around and makes the The balance of flavors into a wonderful dessert.

The croissant pop and pop bakery

The priest of coated croissants, this is the pastry chef Ofer Ben Natan, who is amazing with croissants from my heart to glory. Imagine a croissant made of puff pastry puffed as you go, coated with white chocolate, pistachio pieces, sour raspberry crisps and candied roses. And that’s not all – the above is generously filled with a wonderful hearty cream, with rose water and raspberry coulis. are you still here

The tart Jaffa – Tel Aviv

Haim Cohen can be trusted to know how to take good care (to borrow a favorite term from Master Chef) of the classics and turn them into an ideal dessert. In Jaffa Tel Aviv he serves a wonderful Melbi tart consisting of a rich and baked pistachio cream, Melbi cream with an intoxicating rose scent, raspberry coulis, a fun crumble of coconut and pistachio and on the side a coconut and hibiscus sorbet with a refined sweetness.

The already mythological | Melvia

It is impossible to close such a list without mentioning Melvia, which deserves the credit as the leader of the Melvia trend. Thank you Melvia, for bringing back the popularity of the Melby, thank you for providing a great vegan version and an equally excellent milkshake, thank you for the popcorn syrup which is everything we didn’t know we needed for our Melby, and most importantly – thank you for Ido’s mother’s cookies, which turned out to be the perfect addition.
