Recently, users of the Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Serviço (FGTS) were confused when checking their account balance and came across the following messages: “SAQUE DEP COD 60” and “SAQUE JAM COD 60”.
These are transactions carried out by Caixa Econômica Federal. There is no cause for concern as this does not indicate that your money has been withdrawn.
Understand the meanings:
Withdraw DEP COD 60: this code indicates that the deposit related to the birthday withdrawal was made and will be available from the day following the informed date;
Withdraw JAM COD 60: this code informs the amount of the deposit that was corrected according to the Interest and Monetary Update (JAM).
FGTS withdrawal codes display a future date because they indicate when the amount will be available for those who opted for the birthday withdrawal. In other words, the FGTS can be withdrawn from the date that appears next to the expression.
FGTS birthday withdrawal
The birthday withdrawal is a modality that allows the worker to choose to receive part of his guarantee fund annually, based on his birthday. However, this option is not mandatory.
Those who do not choose to receive the FGTS annually will have the accumulated amount for withdrawals in cases of dismissal, serious illness, retirement or acquisition of their own property.
