In this interview, Emmanuel Macron also “assumed” the immigration law toughened by the right-wing opposition and refuted those who accuse him of having allowed far-right ideas to pass. “This is the text that the French wanted,” he believes, even if he undertakes to rework certain points that he does not like, such as the deposit required of young foreigners to come and study in France.
