What file formats are supported by the media player apps (Albums, Music, and Videos)?

Supported files and formats are available in the TV Guide or Online Help:

  • See the online Help.
  • Consult the TV Guide:
    If your TV remote control has a Help button, press the button Help (Help), then select Guide. If your TV remote control does not have a Help button, do the following:
    • Press HOME.
    • On the supplied remote control, press the button HOME.
    • The next steps depend on your TV’s menu options:
  • Select Using the TV with other devices.
  • Select USB device.
  • Select Supported files and formats (Supported files and formats).
  • Click to select a media type to view supported formats.

Use:

  • LPCM audio format is for home network only.
  • 2K TV models do not support 4K video playback.
  • If your TV supports the file format but does not play the file, check if the music or video is damaged. Use your computer to test the files.
  • It is possible to play other formats not listed in Supported files and formats (Supported files and formats), but proper operation is not guaranteed.
  • W8, X7 and X74H_X75H series TVs do not support LPCM (Music) files. For other models, LPCM (Music) files are only supported when using a home network.
