A plus 2 student died on the 13th of a private higher secondary school in Kaniyamur area of Kallakurichi district. The school administration explained that the student died after falling from the second floor of the hostel. But the student’s family and relatives are accusing her of being suspicious in her death.
The relatives have been protesting for the last 5 days demanding justice in this matter and refusing to buy the body. In this case, the police tried to break up the picketing on the Chennai-Salem National Highway this morning. Then the protest turned violent.
The school education department has issued an order to investigate what happened in the case of the death of a private school girl in Kallakurichi. The Department of School Education has directed the District Principal Education Officer to conduct an inquiry into the school where the student died and submit a report.
Meanwhile, Ramalingam, the girl’s father, has filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking an order to investigate the death of a Chinna Salem schoolgirl by the CBCID. In that petition, they have requested that the body of the student be ordered to be re-examined by the doctor they say. The case is scheduled to be heard tomorrow before Justice Satish Kumar.
