CDMX Metro authorities recommend that users plan their trips in advance and consider alternative routes while the situation is resolved. Service is expected to return to normal once necessary inspections and repairs are completed.

“The service was reopened after the personnel from the fixed installations department made the necessary adjustments to a track switch at the Zócalo Tenochtitlán-Pino Suárez interchange; to do so, electrical energization tests were carried out, as well as the passage of trains,” the authority explained about the incident that caused a large mobilization of passengers today.

He concluded by adding that the Relevant Incidents area was informed of the incident, for the technical investigation of the origin of the damage to a track switch, which was probably caused by a metallic object.
