Lætitia Amodru shares her passion for Christmas.

The idea of this mother of two girls aged 5 and 10 came to her during confinement. “I was in the restaurant business, and I couldn’t work,” explains the thirty-year-old. “I was bored, and I started decorating and having a little more fun around the house.” From this great passion for Christmas and the manual arts came a first open house in December 2021, which attracted many visitors. “It’s a whole universe, villages, character figurines, an atmosphere, warmth, a lot of soul and above all a lot of love.” Years of creations, donations and gifts have improved this magical project piece by piece.

An investment in time and money

Recently divorced, Laetitia Amodru spent a lot of time relaunching her project. “All alone this year, I admit that it’s really a lot of work, around a hundred hours and a few sleepless nights,” she breathes. “But what stands out is the passion and the joy of sharing this. For me, Christmas is something important. It’s an image of my family, of my grandfather with my daughters, it has a lot of value in my eyes. »

A desire to share which supplants the apprehension of opening the doors of one’s home… and that of the wallet, even if the handmade has become its trademark: “Reconstruction or objects already present that I I’m going to work again in another universe,” explains Laetitia. “It’s a budget (700 euros invested for the first edition in 2021). Every year, I treat myself by buying things again. But for finances, it gets a little complicated with inflation. So I learned to deal even more with what I had. I didn’t spend more than a hundred euros this year on equipment… and a lot on Patafix! » laughs the young woman. Cost control which also involves the energy bill for lighting decorations. “I had a 900 euro reminder two years ago,” she grimaces. “This year, I’m just going to light up the big rooms and limit the use of garlands, distributed intelligently.” Nothing to dampen the Christmas spirit in this warm little house, Laetitia awaits you there with her biggest smile.
